North KestevenThe place to investThe place to grow

North Kesteven has a thriving and dynamic economy with the highest skilled workforce in Lincolnshire and statistically full employment. We are proud of our rural heritage and food and farming continues to play a big part in our growth story. Manufacturing and innovation is important to the district, with established centres in Greater Lincoln and Sleaford, while the presence of the RAF at Cranwell and Waddington provides a unique source of diversity and inspiration for the local economy.

Our Economic Strategy reflects this through a clear vision, with 4 keys themes: Green Infrastructure & Net Zero, Employment, Skills & wellbeing, Strong & Resilient Businesses and Flourishing People, Place & Community.

The Tourism Strategy is about encouraging, supporting and driving sustainable growth in our visitor economy. It’s closely linked with our Economic Strategy, with the Visitor Economy identified as one of the four key sectors, recognising the importance of tourism to the district. The strategy outlines how the council will create and sustain the conditions in which the tourism businesses of all sizes can flourish and deliver growth in tourism.
