The Carre Arms Hotel and Restaurant

Over the past year, The Carre Arms Hotel and Restaurant has been on a significant journey. We’ve always taken pride in being part of Sleaford’s hospitality offer, but investment was needed to meet rising expectations from both local customers and visitors to the area.

Our bedroom refurbishment has been a major milestone. We’ve upgraded all our rooms to a much higher standard, creating a more comfortable and modern stay for guests. It has already made a noticeable difference in the feedback received and the type of bookings we can attract.

We’re not stopping here. The bedrooms were just the first phase. We have further refurbishment plans for the rest of the hotel, including the courtyard, restaurant and bar areas. Our aim is to create a consistent, high-quality experience across the whole venue, while keeping the character and warmth that our regular customers value.

It hasn’t just been about the building itself. The support we’ve received from Visit Lincolnshire has helped us think strategically about where we fit in the wider visitor economy. A recent wedding workshop we attended gave us practical insight into trends, customer expectations and how we can better market ourselves as a wedding venue.

We’re also keen to work more closely with businesses, whether that’s supporting business visits to Sleaford, hosting corporate events, or building relationships with local suppliers for weddings and other occasions. These connections are key to creating a stronger, more joined-up local offer.

With continued investment, and the ongoing support and insight from organisations like Visit Lincolnshire and North Kesteven District Council, we’re confident the Carre Arms can play an even bigger role in attracting visitors, supporting the local economy and giving people a great reason to spend time in Sleaford and the surrounding area.
