Sleafordian

Sleafordian Coaches received a REPF Grant for solar panels and battery storage. It is just one of the businesses the Council has supported through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

My name is Danny Mountcastle and I'm the Operations Director here at Sleafordian. I've been with the business for about 12-13 years now. It's a family-run business since 1964. We currently run 44 vehicles with over 50 staff.

The grant allowed us to fit solar panels to our workshop roof, which has reduced costs massively in the business and has given us other options to spend money elsewhere. We've always wanted to do our bit to save the planet a little bit, reduce costs of course is the big one, and we've seen a massive decrease in costs currently with the solar panels being fitted.

Grants like this are very, very important, especially for small businesses like ourselves. We don't have endless pots of money so to have these grants available to support businesses is a big plus.
